This site for The DITA Style Guide is maintained by the author, Tony Self.

The DITA Style Guide: Best Practices for Authors was  published in book form in March 2011, and will be available in ePub format soon. The book was written in DITA, and published directly from the DITA source.

Bookstores can purchase The DITA Style Guide for resale from Ingram Book Company, Baker & Taylor, and NACSCORP.

Tony Self has been involved in documentation for 30 years. In 1993, Tony founded HyperWrite, a consultancy company specialising in hypertext and structured authoring. Tony also lectures in technical communication and digital literacies at Swinburne University. He is a member of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee and DITA Adoption Technical Committee, and chairs the Help Subcommittee. Tony is also the developer of the open source WinANT Echidna software, a Windows interface to the DITA Open Toolkit.

In the medium term, the content and intellectual property of The DITA Style Guide will be donated to the DITA community, for ongoing development as a common resource.
